Toals, Jr., 78, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at the Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA. He was born Aug. 16, 1926 in Ennis, the son of Harvey M. and Gladys Hightower Toals. He was reared in Ennis where he graduated high school. He then attended Texas Teacher's College in Huntsville. On Dec. 13, 1992 he was married to Wyone Onken. After their marriage they lived in Corsicana. He was an entrepreneur in various businesses in Navarro and Ellis counties. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Rita's Catholic Church in Alexandria, LA. He is survived by his wife, Wyona, of Corsicana; 4 step-daughters, Christi Benoit of Hartford, KY, Julie Wood of Lafayette, LA, Tammy Gilett of Lake Charles, LA and Hedra Dubea of Baton Rouge; a sister, Joan Walker of Ennis; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Gladys Toals and a niece, Niecylene Vitovsky. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Fred Caldwell as celebrant. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. Serving as pallbearers will be Stewart Krielow, Kerry Dubea, Arnold Onken, Albert Haskovec, Bryan Vitovsky and Michael Rounsavall.
