Margaret E. Maloney, 78, Lee's Summit, MO passed away Nov. 15, 2009. Services will be 10 am, Wed., Nov. 18, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. The family requests contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Margaret was born Sept. 5, 1931 in David City, NE. She attended Nativity of Mary Catholic Church for many years. She worked for City Service, Sealtest and Interstate Bakeries until her retirement. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Bernard J. Maloney in 2004. She is survived by daughter Therese Shepherd and husband Dave: son Daniel Maloney and wife Marsha, all of Independence, MO; daughter Jacqueline Greathouse and husband John, Lee's Summit, MO; sisters Ann Kane, Roseville, CA; Delores Hain, Seward, NE; brothers Edmund Fiala and wife Bernice, Bee, NE; Stanley Fiala and wife Sally, Scottsdale, AZ; Raymond Fiala and wife Marla, Lincoln, NE; Charles Fiala, Garland, NE; grandchildren Nicholas Maloney, Jamie Greathouse, Jeremy Greathouse and great-grandson Gavin Maloney.
