Evelyn Annie Minton Wilkinson Graves, trusting in God's loving care, she lived her life humbly and with grace. Her kind, sweet and loving ways were and will always be an inspiration and example for all who knew her. A loving mother and friend, she will be greatly missed. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church and a longtime member of Amite Baptist Church in Denham Springs. Evelyn was born Jan. 21, 1908, in Denham Springs, where she resided her last years with her daughter, Judy. She was a caregiver and blessed with good health until recently. She outlived her siblings and many friends. She passed as she lived, peacefully, on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, at Baton Rouge Hospice. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, and in the chapel until service, conducted by Deacon Tommy Jacobsen. Burial in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery, Denham Springs. Survived by her two sons, B.F. and wife Carol Wilkinson, and Bill and wife Barbara Wilkinson; two daughters, Annie Laura Barnett and Judy Badon; daughter-in-law, Joyce Wilkinson Crotwell; grandsons, Ronnie and wife Vicki Wilkinson, Rusty and wife Shelia Barnett, Timmy and wife Vivian Wilkinson, Glenn and wife Eileen Wilkinson, Ricky and wife Kathy Wilkinson, Keith Badon, Charnel and wife Kendra Bailey and Benny Wilkinson; six granddaughters, Sandi and husband Alan Dessell, Charlotte and husband Eddie Goins, Lettie Ann and husband Billy Owens, Debbie Cutrer, Michele Badon, and Vicki and husband Jimmy Little; 28 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren; special friends, Bonnie Bailey, Elaine and Adam Verdin, Dara deBlieux, Leroy and Peggy Barksdale, Lynn Betz, and Tommy and Sheri Jacobsen; and a number of nieces and nephews who were very special to her. She was preceded in death by parents, Samuel and Laura Minton; husbands, Gatim Berlin Wilkinson and James C. Graves; son, Berlin Wilkinson; daughter, Elaine Bailey; son-in-law, C.J. Bailey; daughter-in-law, Clara Lou Wilkinson; grandson, Harry Wilkinson; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Ray and Ruby Minton, J.D. and Eva Minton, Alan and Bobby Minton, and Jim Minton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lessie and Darcy Sullivan and Fannie and Murray Morgan; and many friends. Special thanks to the doctors and all the staff at Ollie Steele Burden Hospice Butterfly Wing for the special care she received. Obituary published in The Advocate from Jan. 30 to Jan. 31, 2009.
