Mrs. Grones’ Last Rites Held Thursday Mrs. Emilie Grones, 53, of Elm Mott died at 9:15 p.m. Monday in a Waco hospital. She suffered a brain hemorrhage at her home earlier in the day, and her son found her on the floor, unconscious, when he returned from school around 3:30. Rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Connally Chapel. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph’s Church in Bellmead at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Grones were West residents until some ten years ago when Mr. Grones retired from farming, and moved to Elm Mott where he has done carpentry work since moving from West. Mrs. Grones is survived by her husband, Louis Grones; five sons, Eddie, George, and Arnold, all of Elm Mott, Paul of Lakeview, and Raymond on duty with the U.S. Army at Aberdeen, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. John Kallus of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Hubik of Pasadena, Calif., and Miro Jurcik of Dallas; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tony Veselka, Adolph Grones, Frank Veselka, Victor Charanza, Adolf Charanza and John Picha.
