CORRIGAN - Mrs. Bernice McNeill Binder, 61, of Corrigan, died Dec. 6, 1986 at a Lufkin hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 9 at St. Louis Catholic Church with Monsignor Mark Deering as celebrant. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Binder was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Dallas. She lived in the Ross community. She was a 1941 graduate of West High School. She was valedictorian of the Hillcrest Hospital School of Nursing class of 1961. She married George Joseph Binder Jr. in 1946. He died in 1969. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and later was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Betty Griffin of Corrigan and Sharon Gurley of Tomball; two sons, Don Binder of Ross and Pat Binder of Houston; and 11 grandchildren.
