Peter F. Bezdek Hit, Killed On Interstate 35 Peter F. Bezdek was killed about 1 a.m. Sunday when he was struck by a car while walking along the south bound lane of Interstate Highway 35 near Wolf's Texaco Station. Mr. Bezdek, 54, of 527 N. 14th St., Waco, was dead at the scene. He was taken by Kotch Ambulance to Kotch Funeral Home. Investigating officers said the driver of the car was Esequiel T. Salvas of Irving. Justice of the Peace Ed H. Grimm ruled accidental death. Requiem mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption at West with Rev. Edward Dokupil and Rev. Donald McLeaish of The Regis officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 25, in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Bezdek was employed at The Regis. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco. He was born at West and had lived in Waco the past two years. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Bezdek of Caro; two sisters, Miss Marie Lillian Bezdek of Waco, and Mrs. Ann McCoy of Seaside, Calif.; and two nieces. Pallbearers were Frank Prnka, Charlie Makovy, John Makovy and Louis Makovy, all of West, E.J. Makovy all of West, E.J. Slovak of Waco and Frankie Losak of Bellmead.
