The passing of this young woman means that West has lost one of its most prominent, active and beloved woman. Mrs. Walla had not been well for several weeks and had been suffering with a sinus trouble. Sunday she was taken to Providence sanitarium where she later underwent an operation. Her condition was not considered critical and death was a great shock to all. Lillian Maydeline Walla was born in West June 1, 1895, and died January 21, 1930. She had lived here all of her life. In August, 1922, she was married to E. E. Walla. She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Maresh. Funeral services will be held Friday morning (today) at the residence at 9:45 and at the Catholic church at 10 o'clock with Father Pelnar officiating. Interment will be made in the Catholic cemetery.
