Bio

Mrs. Sophie Vrana, 79, of West, a retired practical nurse, died Tuesday afternoon in a Waco nursing home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, the Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Vrana was a native of Frenstat and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Ladies' Altar Society. Survivors include two sons, Jody Vrana of West and Ed Vrana of Waco; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Bittenbinder of Waco and Mrs. Robert (Marcella) Wolf of West; four half-brothers, Frank Kubelka of Ennis and Joe Kubelka, Robert Kubelka and Norbert Kubelka, all of California; one stepsister, Mrs. Agnes Collins of Dallas; one half-sister, Mrs. Rosie Madden of Ennis; and eight grandchildren.
