Bio

Louise Bacak Urban, age 77 of Waco, formerly of Dallas, passed away January 6, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Waco. A rosary was recited at 10 a.m. January 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:15 a.m., with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Urban was born on February 2, 1921, in West, the daughter of Ignac and Cecilia Bacak. She married Rudolph Urban on November 20, 1943, in West. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1994. She was a professional seamstress at the Brooks Uniform Company in Dallas for 40 years until she retired in 1983. Louise loved to cook and bake. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Dallas. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ignac Bacak. She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Elaine Stephens of Pleasant Valley, Missouri; two brothers, Louis Bacak and his wife, Martha of Quilan and William Bacak; three sisters, Lillian Hlavenka and her husband, August of Dallas; Mary Murphy and Stacie Roessler and her husband, Herman of Waco; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbe3arers were his nephews, Edward Bacak, Herman E. Roessler, Richard Nors, Anthony Urban, Milton Rejcek, and Ted Kostohryz. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
