Mrs. V.J. Svrcek Buried on Monday Mrs. Anna Svrcek, 40, of Route 2, West, died at 2:15 p.m. Friday, May 6, in a Waco hospital. Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Catholic Church in West, Father V.A. Svrcek of Caldwell officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery. Rosary was recited in Aderhold's Chapel Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Surviving are her husband, V.J. Svrcek; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vince J. Marek, of West; four sons, Willie, Edward, Johnnie and Herman Svrcek, all of West; one daughter, Miss Lillian Svrcek, of West; one brother, John Marek, Route 2, Mt. Calm; two sisters, Adela Svrcek of West and Frances Marek of Los Angeles, Calif. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 59, No. 52, Edition 1, Friday, May 13, 1949, page 1.
