Elsie Snokhous Of West, Dies Mrs. Henry (Elsie) Snokhous, 47, of West died Sunday, June 25, 1978, at a Waco hospital after a long illness. Rosary was recited Monday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m. at Kotch Funeral Home. The Rev. William Benish officiated. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 1978 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Snokhous was born at Deming, N.M., and she had lived most of her life in the West area. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and had worked for Lorch-Westway Manufacturing Co. for 16 years. She married Henry (Hambone) Snokhous on November 24, 1948, at West. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene (Judy) Knapek and Miss Jackie Snokhous, both of West; four sons, Dwaine Snokhous of Penelope, Tim Snokhous, Eddie Snokhous and Gary Snokhous, all of West; her parents, Frank Dolezal and Annie Dolezal, both of West; a brother, A.F. Dolezal of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Plsek of West and Mrs. A.F. Kaska of Hurst; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Donald Zatopek, David Scott, David Snokhous, Alvin Hlavenka, Mickey McCoy and Ted Kostohryz. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 88, No. 26, Ed. 1, Thursday, June 29, 1978, page 6.
