Bio

Infant Dies Saturday From Blood Poisoning Alfonse Arnold Smetak, Jr., two-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Smetak of this city, passed away in a Waco hospital at 9:30 a.m. Saturday as a result of an infection which developed into blood poisoning. Funeral services were held here Sunday at Aderhold's Funeral Home, Rev. E. J. Polcak officiating. Interment was at the Catholic cemetery. Surviving other than the parents are two brothers, Marcel and Henry Smetak. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 53, No. 10, Ed. 1, Friday, July 31, 1942, page 8.
