Bio

Mrs. Rosalie Seith, Pioneer Resident Of This Section, Dies Mrs. Rosalie Seith, age 75, died at her home here at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 7th. She was a pioneer resident of this section, having come to this country many years ago. She was a native of Czechoslovakia. Mrs. Seith came direct to this section with her brother and several other Czech citizens when she was a young lady 20 years of age. There was scarcely any town here at that time, and she went to work on the farm east of town for the Maler family. In 1885 Miss Rosalie Chada was married to Mr. E. Seith of this city. Here Mrs. Seith spent the remainder of her life. She was a devoted wife and mother, always planning and working for the happiness of her loved ones. Mrs. Seith had many friends throughout this community, and those who knew her loved and respected her. Funeral services were held from the residence at 9:15 a.m. and at the Catholic Church at 9:30 Wednesday, November 8th, Msgr. Jos. Pelnar in charge. Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fr. Bezdek, Jos. Kotrla, Vinc Urbanovsky, Jos. A. Gerik, Rud. Macicek and L.D. Karlik. Survivors are: her husband, E. Seith; two sons, Frank E. Seith of West and Joe Seith of West; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Bass of Dallas, and Mrs. Mary Grellhesl of West; fifteen grandchildren; one brother, Chas. Chada of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Mrs. Anna Pratka of Shiner, Texas. The host of friends of the family sympathize most deeply with them in this, their time of great sorrow.
