Bio
Ervin L. Pustejovsky, age 61, of Route 2, West, passed away late Monday evening, February 27, 1989, at West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption led by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian burial is to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant, assisted by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Pustejovsky was born April 21, 1927, in Hill County, the son of August and Stevie Pustejovsky. He married Bernice Uptmor in Tours on Dec. 29, 1949. He worked for General Tire and Rubber Co. in Waco for 38 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305, the K.J.T. Lodge No. 31, and the SPJST Lodge No. 54, all in West. He was also a past president of the West Bass Club, a member of the United Rubber Workers Union, and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Pustejovsky of Rt. 2, West; his mother, Stevie Pustejovsky of West; one son, Ronnie Pustejovsky of Waco; three daughters, Mrs. Tommy (Peggy) Holecek of West, Delayne Massirer of Speegleville, and Donna Price of West; one brother, Lambert Pustejovsky of Arlington; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Tom Wolf, Bill Wolf, Mike Hutyra, Daniel Pokluda, Harry Lee Hykel, Jimmy Polansky, Bernard Chudej, and George Fidler. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Marek, Ed Mashek, Adolph Volcik, Edwin Volcik, Felix Mynar, Ted Kocian, Jerry Cocek, Floyd Wolf, Al Picha, Ernest Zahirniak, Joe Wolf, Joe Holasek, Henry Nors, James Miller, and Bill Karlik.
