Fred C. Plsek, Prominent West Businessman, Dies Fred Plsek, 50, of West was found dead about 6 p.m. Wednesday on a farm he owned north of Whitney. A Whitney Justice of Peace said death was due to natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the West Catholic Church of the Assumption. Rev. James Quilter will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Plsek was born in Ganado. He had lived in West most of his life. He was the district manager of Southern Lloyd's Insurance Co. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He was secretary of the West Longhorn Club. He was past chief of the West Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the SPJST Lodge of West Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mary Plsek and Helen Plsek; his mother Mrs. Agnes Plsek of Bryan; three brothers, Robert Plsek of West, Bennie Plsek of Temple and Edward Plsek of Orange; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Wilcox of Groves and Mrs. Alice Vincent of Bryan.
