Jerome Opella Passes Away This entire community was saddened Wednesday to learn of the death of Jerome R. Opella, age 35, prominent young business man of this city. Mr. Opella had been in ill health for some time but his death came as a shock to his many friends in this section. For the past several years he had been connected with the Cash Meat Market in this city. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 9:00 A.M. and at the Catholic church at 9:30 A.M., Friday, January 7, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery, the local undertaker in charge. Survivors are his widow; one son, Jerry, and a daughter, Rose Marie; his mother, Mrs. J.E. Opella of West; five sisters, Mrs. Willie West of Waco, Mrs. Paul Ferris of Brownsville, Mrs. Henry Kutej of Ft. Worth, Mrs. Peter Dvorak of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Adolf Vochoska of West; four brothers, I.F. Opella of West, John of Carlsbad, Ernest of Itasca, and Adolf of San Antonio.
