Josephine Anne Nors, age 62 of West, passed away Sunday evening, December 1, 2002 in West Rest Haven in West. Rosary was recited 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Miss Nors was born April 20, 1940 in West and had lived in the West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and KJZT Society #31 of West. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe F. and Henrietta Nors. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Daniel (Henrietta) Gerik of West; two nephews, Richard Gerik and wife Vicky of Waco and Mark Gerik of Fort Worth; a niece, Diane Mendiola and husband Mike of West; two great-nephews, two great-nieces and three great-great nieces. Active Pallbearers were Richard Gerik, Mark Gerik, Mike Mendiola, Jeff Gerik, Thomas Nors and Ben Hubenak. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
