Requiem Mass Held Mon. For Rudolph Macicek Rudolph Macicek, 84, of West, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in a Hillsboro hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday in Kotch Chapel. Requiem Mass was held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Macicek was a life-long resident of the West area. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and KJT Lodge No. 31 of West. Survivors are his wife, Emilie; three brothers, Henry Macicek and John Macicek, both of West, and Louis Macicek of Galveston; and three sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Vanzura and Mrs. Joe Mynarcik, Sr., both of West, and Mrs. Janie Kolenovsky of Galveston. Pallbearers were Frank Macicek, Jody Mynarcik, Johnny Vrba, Ed Matus, George Hubik, and Rud. Sablatura. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 78, No. 51, Edition 1, Friday, April 11, 1969, page 1.
