Marie E. (Mazanec) Lewis, age 60, of Wichita, Kansas, formerly of West, passed away early Saturday morning, January 23, 1988, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 24 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, January 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. Ray Widacki as celebrant. Mrs. Lewis was born May 30, 1927 in West, daughter of Joe and Mary Mazanec. She married Edward A. Lewis on May 31, 1963. He preceded her in death in March of 1987. She was a legal secretary for Gary Davis of Crowe and Dunlevy, Attorneys-at-Law in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. #11 in West and was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church of Wichita. Mrs. Lewis is survived by one daughter, Mary Linn Mays of Wichita, Kansas; her mother, Mary E. Mazanec of West; one brother, Joe Mazanec, Jr. of West; and three grandchildren. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Busby, Adolph Muska, Dr. David Watson, Edward Mazanec, Jr., Johnny Mazanec, and Howard Palms.
