Mary Cajkovsky Kudelka, age 102, died July 26, 1989 in Baytown, Texas. Funeral services were conducted by Earthmans in Baytown and Wilkerson-Hatch Funeral Home in Waco. Visitation at Wilkerson-Hatch was 6 - 8 p.m., July 28. Rosary was at 9 a.m. July 29 in the Wilkerson-Hatch Chapel. Graveside services were at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery in West, conducted by Msgr. Ed Rabroker, formerly of St. Mary's Church in Waco and now of Granger. Mary Kudelka was born March 25, 1887 in Cracow, Poland. She came to America at age 7 with her parents, one brother and three sisters. She lived in Ross, West and Waco. Her husband, William "Bill" Kudelka preceded her in death in 1962. During the last 15 years, she lived with her daughter, Ida Herring Zatopek of Baytown and in the Baytown Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Fraternal KJZT #117, Waco. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco. She was honored on her 100th birthday, March 25, 1987 by the Nursing home and was featured in a story by The Baytown Sun. She is survived by her daughter; sons, Victor Kudelka, Sandpoint, Idaho and Henry Kudelka, Rio Vista, California; also by granddaughter, Shirley Herring Beavers; grandson, Carl Deny Herring, both of Baytown; five other grandchildren in California; great-grandchildren James Beavers, Jr., Cheryl Beavers, Scott Herring, Stacy Herring, Baytown, Denise Penick of Stowell, Joseph Beavers of Austin, John Beavers of Athens, S/Sgt.
