Joe Kaska Of West, Dies Joe Kaska, 79, of 800 East Spruce, died at 3 p.m. Monday in West Community Hospital. Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, the Rev. William Benish officiating. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mr. Kaska was born in Fayette County in 1899 and has lived in West the past 70 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a retired textile worker and farmer. Mr. Kaska's wife, Mrs. Mary Kaska, died in October of 1977. Survivors include three sons, George Kaska of Abbott, Albert Kaska of Mansfield and Laddie Kaska of Arlington; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Mary) Pavlas of West; and 15 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Louis Kaska, Edmund Kaska, Charlie Ondrej, Robert Picha, Edward Soukup and Frank Kaska.
