Anton Karlik, 71, Passes Away Mon. Funeral services for Anton Karlik, 71-year old retired West farmer, were held 9 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Assumption. Rev. E.J. Polcak officiated at the services. Mr. Karlik passed away at his home Monday, apparently the victim of a heart attack. Rosary was recited at Aderhold Chapel Wednesday evening. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Born August 15, 1883, in Fayette County, Mr. Karlik came to West as an infant with his parents, Frank and Marie Karlik. He had lived most of his life on the Karlik home place west of town on Route 1, for the past 42 years with his brother, Cyrill Karlik. Survivors include a brother, Cyrill Karlik; a sister, Mrs. Ernest Nemecek, both of West; a great number of nieces and nephews. Four of his brothers preceded him in death.
