Bio

Kabella Funeral Held Monday Funeral services for Joseph William Kabella, 63, were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Temple, Rev. Ray Widacki officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Rosary was recited at Pace Funeral Home in Temple at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Kabella died in a Houston hospital Thursday. He was a native of West, but moved to Temple in 1937. He was a retired civil service employee. He worked in the sheet metal shop at the VA Center in Temple for a number of years. He married Miss Willie Mae Wilberger in 1922. She died in 1961. Mr. Kabella was a charter member of West Council No. 2305 of the Knights of Columbus, a member of the Temple Council No. 3444 KOC, and a member of the Elks Club No. 138 Temple. He was a World War I veteran and a member of American Legion Post 133. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. M.L. Cezeaux of Baytown; one son, Raymond J. Kabella of Baytown; his mother, Mrs. Johanna Kabella of West; two sisters, Mrs. W.F. McDonald of Fort Worth and Mrs. Albina Pinkston of Temple; two brothers, Frank Kabella of West and Henry L.
