George Hubik, 69, of Temple died January 31 at a Temple hospital. Services were at 10 a.m. February 3 at the Church of the Assumption in West. Monsignor Arthur Michalka and Monsignor B.J. Zientek officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Hubik was past president of KJT in West and was past director of church activities at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where he was a member. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also past treasurer of RVOS Home Office in Temple. Survivors include his wife, Annie Hubik; four sons, Wesley Hubik of Mesquite, Robert Hubik of San Antonio, Thomas Hubik of Austin and George A. Hubik, Jr. of Temple; three daughters, Lillian Bohannan of West, Margie Schutza of Corpus Christi and Janie Rejcek of Arlington; a sister, Eleanor Volcik of Bellmead; 19 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dennis Bohannan, Darron Bohannan, Steven Rejcek, Randel Rejcek, Micheal Hubik and Joey Hubik. Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Hubik and Dale Bohannan.
