Bio
Willie Holacka, age 85, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 16, 1993 in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. today (Thursday) in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. Ed Karasek as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Holacka was born December 10, 1907 in Hill County near Penelope and had lived in West since 1947. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He married Nora Knapek October 22, 1929 at Penelope. Survivors include his wife, Nora Holacka of West; one daughter, Mrs. Louis (Georgia Ann) Kramr of Houston; one sister, Mary Krizan of Trinidad; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Jerry Holacka, Eric Hudson, Eugene Knapek, Alvin Sykora, Jimmy Holacka and Richard Sykora. Kotch Funeral Home in West is in charge of arrangements.
