Requiem Mass Held Mon. For Mrs. Gerik Mrs. Antonia Gerik, 82, of 206 South Marable Street, died Friday afternoon in West Community Hospital after a short illness. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Aderhold Chapel by Rev. Earl Hedberg. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Earl Hedberg as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mrs. Gerik was a native of Caldwell. She had been a resident of West for 57 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society, St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, and SPJST Cottonwood Lodge No. 6. Survivors include one son, Anton P. Gerik of West; two daughters, Mrs. Emil J. Nemec of West, and Mrs. Joe Nemec of Dallas; four brothers, Vaclav Hlavaty of Pasadena, John Hlavaty of Bay City, Martin Hlavaty of Ganado and Laddie Hlavaty of Caldwell; three sisters, Mrs. John Vavra of Caldwell, Mrs. William Pechal of Temple and Mrs. Ed Pivonka of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
