Bio

CHALK BLUFF – Fred Cepak, 60, of Chalk Bluff, longtime General Tire employee, died Dec. 27, 1986 at a local hospital. Services were at 10 a.m. Dec. 29 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellmead, the Rev. Angelo Bertini officiating. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West. Mr. Cepak was born Aug. 18, 1926, in Aquilla. He was a lifelong resident of the Waco area. He was married to Bernice Catherine Uptmore on Aug. 6, 1949 in Tours. Mr. Cepak worked for General Tire for 38 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Annie O. Cepak of Waco, four daughters, Mrs. Shannon (Phyllis) Mills of Washington, D.C., Mrs. David (Pam) Khoury of Waco, Mrs. John (Penny) Spellman of Yorktown, Va., and Mrs. Brian (Patricia) Ford of Wichita Falls; two sons, Navy Lt. Cmdr. Tim Cepak of Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and Mark Cepak of Waco; three brothers, Raymond Cepak of Granger, Kenneth Cepak of Arlington and Robert Cepak of Waco; and six grandchildren.
