Graveside services for Mr. Cecil C. Bowdoin, age 102, of Lindale, are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, in the Lindale City Cemetery with the Rev. James Cheatham officiating. Services are under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale. Mr. Bowdoin died on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in a Lindale nursing center. He was born on April 7, 1907, in Lindale to John R. and Mary Beckworth Bowdoin and was a lifelong resident of Lindale. Mr. Bowdoin was a member of the Carmel Baptist Church and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Maggie L. Bowdoin on Oct.14, 2007. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Pat Bowdoin of Colleyville, and Henry and Peggy Bowdoin of Plano; brother-in-law, George Loving and wife Melba of Lindale; four grandchildren, Richard Daniel Bowdoin, Monica Johnson and husband Mark, Daryl Bowdoin and wife Val, and David D. Bowdoin and wife; Amanda; five great-grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Makenna Johnson, Oliva Bowdoin, John David Bowdoin and Brandon Bowdoin; numerous nieces and nephews.
