Graveside services for Geneva Bowdoin Blalock will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday August 3, 2004 in the Lindale City Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home. tony Blalock will officiate. Mrs. Blalock died August 2, 2004 at Pinecrest Nursing Center in Tyler. Mrs. Blalock was born October 16, 1919 on the family farm near the Carmel Community to John R. and Mary Beckworth Bowdoin. She was the ninth of ten children and the last to be born on the farm. The family moved into Lindale when she was 3 months old. Mrs. Blalock was preceded in death by her husband, J. W.; 5 brothers, Everett, Frank, russell, Amos; and 2 sisters, Julia Ruth Smith and Miriam Loving. She is survived by a brother, Cecil Bowdoin of Lindale; sister, Mary Frances LeTulle of Austin; 4 step-children, Tommy, Shirley, Tony, and Floyd; 11 nieces and nephews and several step-grandchildren.
