Pearson, Milton Filmore Died March 22, 1946, Crawford County, Indiana. Alton - Milton Filmore Pearson, youngest son of George Washington Pearson and Eunice Deen Pearson, was born at the old Pearson homestead on Mill Creek, near Alton, July 30, 1856, and died March 22, 1946, in his ninetieth year. He was the last of a family of 12 sons and daughters. He married Josephine Elvina Gilliland, of near Beechwood, October 12, 1876. To this union three children were born. An infant son and a daughter, Jessie, preceded him in death many years ago. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mattie Lee Williams, and son in law, Ben H. Williams of Louisville. He united with the Methodist church at Alton many years ago when the Rev Mr. Clinton was on the Leavenworth circuit, and had been a member of Alton I.O.O.F. lodge more than 50 years. His early married life was spent near Beechwood, but he had lived in and around Alton since 1889. Funeral services were held March 24 at 2:30 P.M. at the home, with the Rev Basil Seaton in charge. Further services were held at Flower Point cemetery by the Branchville I.O.O.F. lodge.
