Bio

Joseph Sembera, Retired Farmer, Buried Here Wed. Joseph Sembera, 79, retitred farmer of this community who has been ill for a number of years, died at 6 o'clock Monday evening, April 9, at the home of his son, Emil Sembera on West, route two. Funeral services were held in the Chapel of the Aderhold Funeral Home at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning, April 11, with Rev. E. J. Polcak, pastor of the Church of the Assumption, officiating. Interment was at the Catholic Cemetery. Born in Czechoslovakia on Dec. 28, 1865, Mr. Sembera has been a resident of McLennan County for the past 34 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Frances Sembera; five daughters. Mrs. Anton Sebik of Dallas, Mrs. Joe Veselka of West, Mrs. Lee Sweeny of Dallas, Mrs. Tom Green of West, and Mrs. Frances Frank of Dallas; and five sons, Joe Sembera of Los Angeles, Cal., John Sembera of Sugarland, Rudolph Sembera of West, Frank Sembera, U.S. Army in France and Emil Sembera in West.
