Bio

George Hurston Loden, formerly of Friendship Community in Itawamba County, drowned in Sunset Lake near Panama City, Florida, last Saturday afternoon (March 22, 1952) after the motor boat from which he was fishing sank. He was 32. Services were held at Hopewell Baptist Church near Dorsey on March 25 with Elder Greenie Gray of Dorsey officiating. Senter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Keys Cemetery. He leaves a son, Jerry Wayne Loden of Mobile, Ala.; a daughter, Veronica Loden of Birmingham, Ala.; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Loden of Dorsey; three brothers, Elvin Loden of Dorsey, Ivan Loden and Johnny Loden, both of Dorsey; and a sister, Mrs. Stella Mae Lesley of Dorsey.
