Bio
Daniel A. Zaskoda, 74, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 9, 2009. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Rita Catholic Church. Daniel was born June 15, 1935, in El Campo. He proudly served in the Navy. He was a minister of communion at St. Rita Catholic Church in Fort Worth and a man of strong faith. Daniel was a member of the American Legion Post 516. He was employed by Bell Helicopter and retired after 42 years. Daniel loved to build and fix things. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and will be greatly missed. Survivors: Wife, Maria Zaskoda; children, Kim Zaskoda and Mark and Missy Zaskoda; grandchildren, Brittany Zaskoda and Alanna Zaskoda; sisters, Mary Melanson, Regina Hammonds, Lillian Celia and Lucille Quinones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
