FORT WORTH Mary Alice (Slater) Gerik, 81, beloved wife of Ben Gerik for 64 years, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials: American Diabetes Association. Mary Alice Gerik was born March 25, 1919 in Fort Worth. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Woodman Circle and Disabled American Veterans Auxillary. Survivors: Husband of 64 years, Ben Gerik of Fort Worth; sons, Donald Gerik and wife Lana, Rick Gerik and wife Crish, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Dennis R. Gerik and wife Tracey, Rick C.
