According to 1880 U S Census, Bastrop Co., TX, Precinct 8, Edward was 50 years old, born about 1821, birthplace was Georgia, self employed as a farmer, his mother was from South Carolina, and he was married to Sarah. Children listed on the 1880 Census are Daniel (18) and Scythian (16). On the 1900 Census for Precinct 8, Bastrop Co. he is living (age 79) with a son, Thomas J, and his family. It also shows he is widowed. He is not listed on the 1910 Census. His wife was Sarah Ann "Sallie" Bailey, born about 1819 in Georgia.
