Obituaries The Athens Review Alice Gurganus, 91, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at a Weatherford nursing center in Parker County, Texas. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Bethel Cemetery in Anderson County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom C. Gurganus; her parents; and two brothers, Lawrence Lee and Maury Crist. Survivors include her children, Doris Rudolph of Peaster, Billy Gurganus of Weatherford, and Mrs. Robert (Jo) McCart of Mansfield; sisters, Dulas Welch of Athens and Beulah Vigne of Aledo; brother, J.C. Crist of Bullard; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
