Mrs. White taught elementary school in Eupora and other north Mississippi schools for many years. Mary Ellen was a devoted wife and mother, an avid gardener (especially flowers), a wonderful cook, and a very selfless and generous person. Survivors include two sons, James W. White of Eupora and Joseph S. White and wife, Demetria, of Jefferson, Ga.; and a sister, Nora Beadle and husband, A.C., of Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford T. "B.T." White. Services were Jan. 6 at Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora with the Rev. Travis Gray officiating. Burial was in Webster Memorial Gardens.
