Frank Tanner Sr., age 81, of Dayton, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2009. He was born March 21, 1928 in Sweeny, Texas to George William Tanner and Mary Elizabeth Tanner along with his wife, Clarice Tanner; brothers and sisters, Mary Elizabeth Linquist, Wilma Tucker Youngblood, Naomi Tanner Lane, Ruth Tanner Speights, and Jack Tucker. Survivors include his sons, Pete Tanner and wife, Wanda, Bill Tanner and wife, Connie; daughter, Timmie Tanner and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Chanel, Pete, Stacey, Greg, Marc, Jennie, James, Scott, Billy; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Haley, Rylie, Cade, Chloe, Carrissa, Erik, Julia; numerous nieces, nephews and many other cherished family members and friends. Brother Byron Reeves presided over funeral services held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2009, Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Ryan Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas. The pallbearers who honorably escorted him to his final resting place are Marc Tanner, Greg Tanner, Pete Tanner, Jared Southwell, Taylor Southwell, and Sean Jones.
