Clarice Loritha Tanner - age 78 passed away Saturday April 4, 2009 in Dayton. She was born July 24, 1930 the daughter of the late Clarence Huey Collins and Ruby Jordan Collins. She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her yard, singing, and attending church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mervin Collins and a sister Rita Faye Maddy. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 60 years Frank Patella Tanner Sr. Sons Pete Tanner and his Wanda of Dayton, Bill Tanner and his wife Connie of Dayton, and a daughter Timmie Tanner and her husband Steve of DeLeon, Texas, as well as a brother Floyd Collins and his wife Pat. In addition she leaves nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-8pm at Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Dayton. Funeral services to be held 10 AM, Wednesday April 8, 2009 at the funeral home, with Rev. Wayne Hardin officiating, burial will follow in Ryan Cemetery, Tarkington, TX.
