Bio

Virgie Faye Shawn was born on 8 April 1928 to Oscar Ellis and Georgia (Lockaby) Shawn. She was born near the town of Fletcher, Comanche County, Oklahoma. There were seven siblings in her family. Her oldest sister was Agnes Evelyn Shawn who died as an infant, Nora Elizabeth Shawn Cockrell) (1919-2002); Orville Houston Shawn (1921-2001); Margaret Shawn Gibbs Tamburo Ritter (1923-1994); Buford Allen (1925-2002); and two younger brothers (living). Faye married Stanley Worth Eversole 10 July 1950 in Wellington, Collingsworth County, Texas. There were three sons born of this union. Stanley preceded Faye in death and Faye was buried beside him in the Darwin Cemetery on 29 October 2009. She was survived by three sons, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
