Published in the Athens Review July 27, 1933 Ed L. Sims, 56, of the Springfield community, died Tuesday night at 8 o'clock at the Eustace House here following an illness that developed from a badly infected leg. He had been under the care of physicians at the Eustace House for the past two weeks, having been brought here from his home. The funeral cortege left here at 1 o'clock this afternoon for Liberty cemetery in Van Zandt county where interment followed. The services were conducted by Rev. Ben Jones of Ben Wheeler. The deceased is survived by his wife and several children. J.B. Sims of Kerens is a brother. He had farmed for a number of years in the area near Springfield.
