Bio

Louis and Hanna Johnson Goochey. He attended rural school and was a graduate of Taylor High School. He served in the U.S. Army from July 1941, serving in the Solomon Island, the Fiji Islands, and the Philippines. After his discharge in June 1945, he returned to the Burwell-Bassett area to ranch. Lately he had lived in Burwell while working on nearby ranches. Vern had a twin sister, her name was Verna Louise He was a member of the Burwell V.F.W. post.
