Frey of Glenvil and Mr. Enos Mazour, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mazour of Spring Ranch took place at the Loucky Catholic church (sic) on November 27, Rev. Father Cadek officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Rose Faimon as bridesmaid and by Mr. Albert Herbek as best man. These popular young people have the best wishes of a host of friends. The groom gave a free dance for his many friends in the evening at Glenvil. ====================== The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, March 21, 1996; pg. 4 Gladys Mazour was born November 29, 1904, in Glenvil, Nebraska, to Elmer and Elizabeth (Boltjes) Frey and died Tuesday, March 12, 1996, at Community Care of America in Edgar, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years. She graduated from Fairfield High School with the Class of 1924. November 27, 1928, Gladys married Enos Louis Mazour. They farmed in the Spring Ranch area until 1953, when they moved to a farm near Clay Center. They retired in 1974. Her husband, Enos, died July 1, 1975. Gladys remained on the farm until 1985, when she moved to Nelson, where she lived until moving to Edgar in 1991. Gladys was a member of the Catholic faith, attending church in Nelson, Deweese and Sutton. She was also a member of the Altar Society. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one son, one daughter, one sister, one brother and one grandson. Survivors include two daughters, Marianne Wolfe and her husband Marion of Fairfield, Nebraska, and Geraldine Peterson and her husband Levonn of Oak, Nebraska; two sons, Leighton and his wife Cecelia of Waubun, Minnesota, and Dwaynne and his wife Eileen of Blair, Nebraska; one brother, Robert Frey and his wife Patty Jean of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sisters, Mildred Flesner of Hastings and Jeanette Smith and her husband Bill of Springfield, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Mass of the Christian burial was Saturday, March 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Deweese, Nebraska, with Rev. Dennis Hunt officiating. Burial was in St. Martin's Cemetery, Deweese. Acolyte was Ed Pavelka. Dennis Washburn was organist and song leader was LeRoy Soucie. Pallbearers were Michael Wolfe, Lorrell Peterson, Randall Peterson, Mark Mazour, Kenneth Wolfe, Craig Mazour, Dan Wolfe and James Mazour. McLaughlin Funeral Home, Clay Center, was in charge of the arrangements.
