Daughter of Henry & Margaret (Puetz) Birkel. Married to Emil F. DeWispelare on 9-8-1943. Survived by her children: Eva(Robert)Kadavy of Fremont, NE: Dan(Kathy)DeWispelare of Denver, CO; Ed DeWispelare and fiance Kim Yates of Omaha, and step-son: Jerry(Wilma)DeWispelare of Octavia. Two sisters: Rose Housh of Omaha and Ida Burbach of Witchita, KS. 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil in 1961, three brothers: Rev. Harold Birkel, Matt Birkel and Clarence Birkel; three sisters: Anne Birkel; Florence Stump, and Clair Bongers.
