Bio
Stella Marie Meisetschlaeger was born to Frank and Hermina (Minnie) Boehm Meisetschlaeger - Her siblings included seven brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her brother George Meisetschlaeger of Hitchcock, sister Ollie Meisetschlaeger Buss of Dallas son Gary Polzer of LaMarque and granddaughters Natalie Polzer and Danielle Polzer of Alexandria, Virginia. Her youth was spent in Breslau and Moulton, Texas. Stella and Joseph Herman "Joe" Polzer married at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston, Texas, on July 4, 1940. She worked for Rex Laundry and later, for Fort Crockett Laundry in Galveston. Throughout her life Stella was an excellent cook who opened her home with hospitality to visiting family and friends. She won the LaMarque Garden Club Yard of the Month Award two years. Stella enjoyed reading and gardening. Stella and Joe celebrated their fifty-sixth wedding anniversary in 1996.
