OBITUARY - CRESTON NEWS ADVERTISER, May 9, 1966 Roy Young, 85, of Murray Dies MURRAY - Roy Young, 85, of Murray, was found dead Saturday evening in his home here in Murray. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Watts-Saul funeral home in Murray with Rev. Walter Williams officiating and burial in Graceland Cemetery in Creston. Born April 21, 1881, in Decatur county he was the son of Henry and Hanna Gibbons Young. He was educated in the Decatur school and was married June 17 , 1914, to Teresa Ester Cook at Leon. He was engaged in farming and construction work and spent the past eight years in Murray. Survivors include a son, James of Paragon, Ind.; a sister, Jean Black of Des Moines, and three brothers, Tom Young of Murray, Jack of Oklahoma City, Okla, and Ed of Creston. His wife preceded him in death in June of 1941. p. 3, c.2
