Bio

Betty L. Hulse, 72, of Fleming died Feb. 5, 1997, in Fleming. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fleming Methodist Church. Mrs. Hulse was born Nov. 6,1924, to Edward F. and Bessie (Cihacek) Litty in Sterling. She graduated from Sterling High School and attended Barnes Business College in Denver. She manied Henry P. Hulse in July 1946. The couple lived briefly in Sterling, and in 1947, moved to a farm in Fleming. She was the treasurer of the Fleming United Methodist Church for more than 40 years, was a past Fleming town clerk and later kept books for the Fleming Co-op elevator and Miles Service Station. Tn 1976 she was also elected to the Re-3 Frenchman School District. She also served as sec retary to the Tn-County School Board Association. She then became Secretary to the super intendent of the Re-3 District. In 1983, she was commended for making contributions to the field of women by the Rocky Mountain Council on Working Women. She was the secretary/treasurer of the Flem ing Library Association at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband Henry of Fleming; two sons, Donald of Antofagasta, Chile, and David of Laguna Niguel, Calif., and two grand children, Jessica and Alex.
