Bio

Researchers on Ancestry.com list Isaac as the son of John Hurst 1760-1822 born in Virginia and died in Blairs Creek, Claiborne County, Tennessee and Elizabeth Breedwell 1756-1840. I don't believe that to be correct as none of the information mentions South Carolina for any of them or their children. According to the 1850 census he was born in South Carolina. If I see proof I may change my mind but otherwise I am not going to link him to these two people. Note: The death date on the stone is September 31 but September only has 30 days. So he either died on September 30 or October 1. Since the month is September I am using September 30. Isaac Hurst's only child by his second wife Sarah is listed as Christian McNona Hurst in his will. A copy of the will is listed in the photos. On the 1880 census she is listed as Nora but I believe this should have been Nona. Census records for James W. Douglass' wife are: 1900 – Manona Douglass 1910 – Mary C. Douglas 1920 – Mary C. M. Douglas
