Bio

Noah was a son of Elijah Hatley and Martha Adeline Wadsworth. Noah first married Maud Ethel Cornelius, daughter of Moses Andrew Cornelius and Nancy K. Bynum, October 20, 1902 in Brown County TX. Retired Farmer, Noah Hatley, Dies Mr. Noah Hatley, 84, a retired farmer and Abilene resident since 1950, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday at Williamsburg Nursing Home after a long illness. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott's Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Howard Ingram, paster of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park. Mr. Hatley was born July 7, 1881 in Alabama and moved here 15 years ago from Vernon. Mrs. Hatley died March 28. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Euretta Self and Mrs. B.V. Shelnutt both of Abilene, Mrs. W.B Harmon of Cross Plains and Mrs. M.O. James of Seagraves; four sons, N.H. Hatley Jr of Abilene, Aaron Hatley of Ft. Worth, Elbert Hatley of Ogden Utah, and Andrew Golladay of Vernon; a sister, Mrs. L.A. Locke of Ft. Worth; 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
