William and Temperance married in 1817 in Jackson, Georgia. Married Elijah H. Hatley August 6, 1878 in Blount County, Alabama. Martha Adeline Wadsworth was born 21 Apr 1849 in Blount County, Alabama, and died 22 Apr 1934 in Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of William Wadsworth and Temperance Martin. She married Elijah H. Hatley 6 Aug 1878 in Blount County, Alabama, son of Wiley Hatley and Sarah E. Fendley. ________________________ MRS. HATLEY DIES IN ONEONTA Mrs. Martha Hatley, wife of Elijah Hatley, died at their home in Oneonta Sunday night. She had been in ill health for some time but the direct cause of her death was a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Hatley was 85 years of age the day before her death. She was a member of the Baptist church and belonged to the well known Wadsworth family of this county. The deceased is survived by her husband, three sons, Noah and Willis Hatley of Clyde, Texas, and John Hatley, of Beaumont, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. H.C. Bradley, of Oneonta; Mrs. Kizzie Turner of Anson, Texas; Mrs. Sarah Wadsworth, of Clyde, Texas; and Mrs. Crecia Lock, of Brownwood, Texas; three brothers, Joe Wadsworth, of Lawrence County; Stephen Wadsworth, of route 2, Oneonta, and Harrison Wadsworth, of Oneonta. The funeral services were held at Antioch Monday and were conducted by Rev. F.M. Humphries, Rev. L.T. Fendley, Rev. P.J. Jordan and Rev. W.H. Bellew, with Wade in charge.
